Detec Systems provide smart building technologies and services to help maintain high performance buildings to be free of moisture intrusion damages. Concealed moisture entrapped in the building enclosure during construction is a leading cause of construction defect claims. Detec provides two technologies to ensure that wall enclosures are dry and roof membranes are watertight. These two technologies are:
The Detec MDMS:
This system does the following:
• Monitors parapets, penetrations and the entire roof plane proactively to minimize the long-term effects of hidden moisture intrusion and moisture accumulation

• Provides continuous monitoring so that action can be taken immediately. No more searching for days to find a leak or waiting for visual damage to show on the underside of a roof deck, attic area or ceiling

• Installs UNDER the roof membrane in conventional roof systems

• Monitors continuously ensuring maximum risk mitigation

• Retrofits into most re-roofing jobs, too. Ask your Detec Rep for applicable roof membranes and roof types



For Automated Moisture Monitoring of the BUILDING ENVELOPE (walls, windows, doors and other penetrations) the Detec MDMS:

• Installs contiguously around the perimeter base of the envelope and under all penetrations for complete coverage

• Provides cost-effective, automated monitoring to detect and locate moisture intrusions in the building envelope

• Informs appropriate personnel proactively of an intrusion so action can be taken before it becomes a costly repair or construction defect lawsuit.

• Monitors interior flood zones

The second system is the Leak Detection Methods for Roof Assemblies which includes a Electric Gradient Leak Locator a Roof Membrane Integrity Scan and a Vertical Surface Leak Locator which is one of it's kind in the industry.
